• Conditions of admission English Language and Culture – History Applicants must have completed bachelor’s studies in the field of study Philology and the field of study Historical Sciences or a related field. This programme also requires English and Slovak language proficiency at the C1 level or higher according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. This requirement also applies to foreign applicants. Applicants will be selected based on their academic results from their bachelor’s studies, in an order based on their weighted average mark from their bachelor’s studies. The final acceptance order will be determined by the sum total of points earned for each of the sub-programmes. Conditions for international students Basic admission requirements for foreign applicants to master’s programmes: ‒ successful passing of the entrance examination ‒ Slovak language proficiency at the required level (at least B2 or C1) according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages ‒ confirmation of acceptance of the applicant’s certificate of education completed abroad at the required level of education (with the exception of certificates from the Czech Republic, for which a confirmation is not needed) The application must include: - a certificate of proficiency in Slovak as a foreign/second language at the required level (at least B2 or C1 depending on the study programme criteria) issued by a language school included in the network of schools and educational institutions of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic (registered public language schools and private language schools) – required for foreign applicants to master’s programmes who studied in a language other than Slovak at the bachelor’s level.
