  • Conditions of admission 1. The basic condition of admission to engineering studies (second degree study programme) is the acquisition of a first degree (Bachelor's degree) of higher education in the same or a related field of study (Act on Higher Education No.131/2002 Coll.). 2. The prerequisite of admission to the study is the submission of an application for higher education studies (Act on Higher Education No.131 Coll.). 3. Language prerequisites - written and oral proficiency in Slovak or Czech, study at the faculty, including the possibility of completing one of its components in higher years abroad, requires applicants to have knowledge of at least one of the world's languages at least within the scope of the secondary school curriculum (English, German, Spanish, French, Russian). 4. Medical fitness - the faculty does not require a medical certificate of medical fitness for university studies and accepts applications without a medical certificate. Conditions for international students For foreign applicants, the admission conditions apply as for applicants from the Slovak Republic. Foreign students who study in a language other than the state language pay tuition fees according to the conditions set out in Section 92(8) of the Higher Education Act. The tuition fee is set by the UNIZA Directive and published for the respective academic year at www.uniza.sk. Foreign students studying in the Slovak language do not pay tuition fees. Applicants from the Czech Republic may use the form valid in the Czech Republic to apply for studies. For applicants who do not actively speak Slovak or Czech, successful completion of language training is required (with the possibility of completing it at UNIZA). For foreign applicants admitted on the basis of interstate agreements or for scholarship holders of the Government of the Slovak Republic, the conditions specified in the respective agreements apply. Conditions of admission without the entrance exam For the study programmes road transport (focus on road transport, expert activities in road transport), railway transport, air transport (focus on air transport, aircraft maintenance technology), freight forwarding and logistics, and for the study programme postal engineering applicants are admitted on the basis of the weighted study average achieved at the first level of higher education. For the study programmes economics and business management, financial management and e-commerce and management , applicants who have successfully completed the 1st cycle of university studies and have achieved a weighted average of grades in studies up to and including 2.00 are admitted without an entrance examination. Other applicants will take an entrance examination.
