In the case of a foreign applicant or a student who has completed their studies abroad, the applicant must submit, together with the application for university studies—or at the latest by the date of enrollment—a decision on the recognition of the document confirming completion of the first-cycle higher education issued by the relevant institution in the Slovak Republic, or request the University of Žilina (UNIZA) to recognize the educational document. Additional Conditions Applicants holding a Bachelor’s degree may apply for admission. Admission will be based on the capacity of individual study programs and the evaluation of applicants , where the main criterion will be the academic results achieved during Bachelor’s studies . Applicants who have completed the first-cycle higher education in a related field of study may be admitted only based on the results of a written test from the core subjects of the chosen study program. The topics of the core subjects are published on the faculty’s website. The final decision on the results of the admission procedure is made by the Dean of the Faculty of Security Engineering (FBI UNIZA) based on the proposal of the Faculty Admissions Committee . Foreign students who study in a language other than the state language are required to pay tuition fees in accordance with § 92, paragraph 8 of the Act on Higher Education .
