  • Conditions of admission English Language and Culture – History Applicants must be proficient in the English language at the B2 level or higher and in Slovak at the C1 level or higher. Applicants must complete a general academic prerequisites test, part of the National Comparative Exams administered by the company Scio, in place of an entrance exam. Results from a previous Scio test no older than three years will also be accepted. Applicants will be accepted in the order of their achieved percentile on the test. Applicants who present a certificate obtained by completing at least one of the following examinations will earn the maximum score in the admission proceedings (without being required to take the Scio test):
  • University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations, Certificate in Advanced English
  • University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations, Certificate of Proficiency in English
  • University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations, First Certificate in English – score A
  • IELTS – International English Language Testing System – minimum level 6.5
  • external portion of the secondary-school-leaving examination on the English language at the B2 level, minimum 85% mark + internal oral portion result “excellent”
