  • Conditions of admission The condition is completion of level 1 of the university study and setting the order of applicants according to the order based on the achieved arithmetic study result average during the study at the first level university study. Those applicants shall be preferred who attended the same study program at the first level university study and only in case the number of applicants is not filled up, then this study programme will be completed with applicants from a related study programme. The applicants accepted for the study that attended university study in a different study programme (already have a title of level 2) will be registered into the first year of engineer study only after payment of the fee whose amount is determined according to the Act No. 131/2002 Coll., Section 92 on universities and in compliance with the statute of The University of Žilina in Žilina. Additional information The study program can be taught also in English language. Conditions for international students Foreign study applicants are admitted on the basis of relevant intergovernmental agreements, or study at their own expense.The applicants from EU countries are admitted and study under the same conditions as the students from the Slovak Republic. The applicants from the Czech Republic may use for submitting the study application form valid in the Czech Republic. In case of applicants who do not actively speak Slovak or Czech, a successful completion of language training (with possibility of performance at the ZU in Zilina) is required. Foreign study applicants that study at their own expenses shall submit the required materials (documents of previous study, etc.) and according to the individual assessment of the applicant the dean of the faculty shall decide on acceptance (non-acceptance) for the study without entrance exams.
