Anotácia v sekundárnom jazyku práce: This dissertation addresses the nutritional management of patients with hepatic failure, with a particular emphasis on optimizing nutritional care as a key determinant of disease prognosis, clinical outcomes, and patients' quality of life. Hepatic failure is a severe clinical syndrome associated with profound metabolic disturbances, alterations in energy metabolism, loss of skeletal muscle mass, sarcopenia, and a high prevalence of malnutrition. Nurses play a pivotal role in the early identification of malnutrition risk, the implementation of nutritional interventions, patient and family education, and the continuous monitoring of the effectiveness of nutritional therapy. Accordingly, this dissertation focuses on the contribution of nursing care to the assessment, monitoring, and promotion of the nutritional status of patients with hepatic failure. The findings are expected to expand the body of knowledge in nursing science, support the development of standardized protocols for nutritional management, and contribute to improving the quality of nursing care. Furthermore, the study may promote interdisciplinary collaboration among healthcare professionals and strengthen the role of nurses in preventing complications, facilitating recovery, and improving health outcomes in patients with hepatic failure.
